Hooked wins Derby sports award for skateboarding

Well well well what a turn out for the books. Firstly, a massive thanks to everyone who supports Hooked and the skate scene, because people are starting to recognise the stuff we're doing, and the work we're doing to get Derby a skatepark. It's amazing that skateboarding has been recognised as a creative and individual activity in Derby city, and this has led us to win the club of the year at the Derby Sports Awards ceremony.

So that's good news. We're going to be making a video about what we've been up to in terms of organising jams, doing sessions, trick tips and competitions for the Derby scene. If you want to be in it -  skating - get in touch. It will be played in next years award ceremony to show all the normal sports folk what skateboarding is about.
